We are kicking off July with a hot, hot event. Viking Educator, Linda Visnaw will conduct three great classes. Linda has taught at Viking Conventions, Houston International Quilt Market, Road to California and many dealer venues. She has appeared on numerous America Sews with Sue Hausmann and been published in quilting magazines and books such as Designs in Machine Embroidery and Sew News magazine. Linda is the author of Threads & Inks Together, Mini Station Collection, Embroidery and Art Work Collection, Thread Sketches, Quilt Patterns from Golden Threads and several Cactus Punch Embroidery Collections.

Our next session of “Buck A Block” started in June but kits are still available. There are no monthly meetings or classes to attend. Stop by now to select from one of the three color ways, blues and white, 30’s, or 40’s. One package of Thangles is required for the program. Complete one block a month and the next block is a buck. Don’t complete the block and the block is three dollars. So, lets do the math…you have 12 blocks for 12 dollars if you keep up.

We will also begin our Tour of North America Mystery Quilts. First stop: The Jersey Shore,,,,,Shore is the same as beach for you non east coasters!

In August, we welcome the return of the “queen of stitch manipulation”, Cindy Losekamp. We’re not worrying about snow this time! Cindy will be presenting classes from her newest books and patterns. Don’t miss out, sign up early!

September brings the start of our fourth “Saturday Sampler”! This year we have chosen a pattern from Marti Michell. The pattern is a little more challenging than previous years. We have two color ways to select from, Maypole by Moda and Golden Harvest by Red Rooster. Once again, complete your quilt and be eligible to win a Husqvarna Viking or Pfaff sewing machine. Cost is $30 to sign up and includes patterns, and templates. Pick up your rules and select your color way by August 1 st. Space is limited.
